Beneficial for the digestive, reproductive, renal and immune systems, for skin conditions; for the mood; with anti-inflammatory effects...the healing properties of hot springs are infinite. The therapeutic effect of medicinal mineral waters has been recognised since Greek and Roman times. Having a hot spring nearby is like having a treasure. In the Pyrenees of Catalonia, we find a good handful of places to enjoy them, located, moreover, in unique spots, between mountains and surrounded by nature. Let us reveal them to you!

Balneari Caldes de Boí

Termas Baronia de Les

The waters of Baronia de Les are medicinal mineral waters, catalogued as sodium carbonate sulphur. What does this mean? That they are characterised by the presence of sulphur in the form of gas. The spa is nourished by this sulphurous water which flows at over 30° in temperature and 300m in depth. Situated in Val d’Aran, the spa dates back to the epoch of Roman rule and it is known that in the time of Ancient Rome, hot springs had already been used as baths.
